5. When taking that all time great shot don't just fire off one shot, keep the button pressed to take a short burst of shots. Why you ask, light changes, clouds move over also when taking portraits models move expressions change. Once back home pick the shot you like most.
6. When taking landscapes don't forget to use a ND filter to balance up the sky line. If you don't have any ND filters with you quick tip take two identical shots one exposure for the sky and the other for the landscape, once back home you can merge the two shots together. Why not treat your self to some ND filters here 7. When taking portraits use an off camera flash this helps to reduce the harshness of camera mounted flashes. You can also use reflectors to help reduce harshness. 8. Changing your lenses remember to switch off your camera, this helps reduce the chance of static on the camera sensor, static can attract dust. If in windy conditions use your body to shield the camera, point the camera downwards to stop anything falling into the camera through the lens mount. |
