New 159 hotline to the banks
A new emergency hot line is being trialed currently here in the UK. This new number 159 is run by an industry body called STOP SCAMS UK which is funded by the Financial Conduct Authority and Ofcom.
OK so how does this work. If you think you have been the victim of a banking scam you will be connected to your bank's fraud prevention team. Say OK but hang up and call 159 you can then tell them about your encounter and they will then deal with it.
Just incase you tink this may be a scam I'll link to some respected websites who have covered this story. Just copy and paste
