Metamask Scam
Metamask is cryptocurrency wallet which interacts with the Ethereum blockchain. It's been about for about 6 years. You can get Chome extention that injects the Ethereum web3 API into a websites javascript this then allows dapps to read from the blockchain. I know to many this sounds like a load of gobbledygook however to some it could cause a great financial lose. Now that you have had a bit of info regarding Metamask I recieved the following e-mail out of the blue. 
As you can see the e-mail address it came from is not that from someone@metamask.io as you would expect. The above e-mail came from Metamask Team <mail@mysouq.lk> . If you have a closer look at the e-mail you can also see that the links don't even point metamask.io. What ever do you don't ever give out you secret recovery phrase unless you know you are in the right place. The body of the e-mail when looked at more closley is below: <https://metamask.io/images/mm-logo.svg> _____ Metamask requires all users to verify their wallets in order to comply with KYC regulations this must be done before 25/01/2022 as a regulated financial services company, we are required to verify all wallets on our platform. We require all customers to verify with their secret recovery phrases.What happens if I don't recover my wallet on time? If you don't verify your wallet on time, your wallet will be restricted. Please pass this story on to anyone you may know who might be involved with cryptocurrencythey may even buy you a drink!
