Beware of fake text messages

It has been reported that people are receiving fake text messages. Most of us with mobile phones have had a message from the government titled GOV.UK CORONAVIRUS ALERT. Well fraudsters are now spoofing the phone number used and impersonating government officials to try to trick you into clicking on the link they have sent usually to say you have been fined or are due a rebate. 
You would not normally be contacted in this way by but people are panicked and then click on the link without fully taking in the true content of the message.
